Fundação Joana Vasconcelos participated once more in the philanthropic gala Le Bal de la Riviera, which aimed in this edition to raise awareness among governmental elites and decision makers of cancer research and treatment.

The event was held under the High Patronage of Pricess Lalla Salma of Morocco and the funds raised benefited Lalla Salma Foundation, Cancer Prevetion and Treatment.

The gala also had the contribution of the director of the United Nations International Agency for Research on Cancer, Christopher Wild, and Professor Manuel Sobrinho Simões, elected the most influent pathologist in the world in 2015.

Princess Lalla Salma received the Tribute Award, devised by Joana Vasconcelos, that every year recognizes one outstanding international leader that have exemplified inspiration, vision, innovation, leadership and action.
