Joana Vasconcelos took part in the Global Forum 2030 – Porto, in the discussion under the matter “Culture in the global world and information society”, which took place on 1 October 2013 in Porto.

The Global Forum 2030 – Porto promotes a series of debates on the inclusion of Portugal in a Europe and a World in transformation. The thematic of the debates is organised according to a prospective analysis as well as the identification of the main trends on the development of the international scene. The debates include specialists from Portugal and emerging countries, as well as from the European Union and the United States.

Joana Vasconcelos participated in the panel under the theme “Art in a globalised world”, together with Susanne Cotter, director of Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Brazilian curator Eduardo Jesus.
