Equality and education emerged as two strong words repeated at the gathering "Portuguese Women - Challenges for the Country", organized by Diário de Notícias and moderated by its director Rosália Amorim, to commemorate the International Women's Day.

The event, held at the Farol Design Hotel in Cascais, brought together the visual artist Joana Vasconcelos with  Isabel Ucha (leader of Euronext), Isabel Vaz (Luz Saúde Group CEO), Luísa Pestana (Vodafone administrator), Luísa Ribeiro Lopes (in charge of INCoDe.2030) and Marianela Mirpuri (Hera founder).

Being the first woman to exhibit in Versailles, Palácio da Ajuda and Guggenheim Bilbao, Joana Vasconcelos brought attention to the “paradox which always occurs to me on this day: 80% of the artistic representation in the world represents the woman's body and, however, only 10% of women are in charge of museums and galleries. There have always been women artists at all times but, despite seeing themselves represented, they were deprived of their voice. The truth is that ​​the art world in general is still dominated by men to this day.”
