"I am used to thinking big scale and monumental sculptures, so when this small, transparent cube arrived, it felt like a huge challenge (laughs). But a challenge I was happy to embrace to help raise funds for THe Cure Parkinson's Trust. I decided to create a textile piece using the structure of a blossoming flower, following the colours and structure of the chakras, with their healing powers", Joana Vasconcelos explained. 

This piece, donated through the artist’s Foundation, has taken part in the Cure3 exhibition in London, organised by Art Wise Curators with Bohnams. Shown alongside works by female artists from all over the world, it has been sold on auction, contributing to support Cure Parkinson Trust.
