Fundação Joana Vasconcelos is part of the program Study in Portugal Network (SiPN), developed by the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD) to bring students from North American universities to study in Portugal for a semester, academic year, or summer. It aims to deepen knowledge about Portugal and Portuguese major universities and institutions in North America.

In 2018, the Foundation received an Architecture student from the University of Pittsburgh, who worked for two months with the Architecture Team of Atelier Joana Vasconcelos to develop the projects for new works.
