Fundação Joana Vasconcelos devised, together with Académie de Nice, a unique educational project - Joana Vasconcelos – Tournée Educativa, which will be on tour around the schools of the French area of Côte d’Azur.

Joana Vasconcelos – Tournée Educativa intends to provide a tangible tool for artistic and cultural education. The project consists of a flying case similar to those that transport Joana Vasconcelos’s works, packed with samples of materials and objects of which the artist’s works are made and that can be touched and experienced by the students. The educational kit also includes technical drawings and making of images, as well as a monograph, to give an insight on how the works are produced.

Académie de France has given a workshop on the educational kit to the teachers, so they are fully briefed before receiving the kit in their schools.

Fundação Joana Vasconcelos will have a similar kit available to Portuguese schools, as well as to museums and institutions that host Joana Vasconcelos’s exhibitions.
